Shannon has had a 30 year career in the Early Childhood Field
having worked in childcare facilities in a variety of different
roles.
Up until 2020, she lived in Calgary, AB where she worked as an
Educational Assistant. Working alongside children with special
needs was one of her most gratifying career experiences.
Her and her husband Randy have 3 beautiful and amazing adult sons.
Shannon and Randy now live in British Columbia, where they
take advantage of the beautiful outdoors as often as they can.
Writing stories was something Shannon had never explored
before but was Inspired by Sharon's daily FB posts about the little goats. She started writing, weaving the real life events of
Lola and Gary's funny shenanigans into stories, creating a fun
fictional children's series for all to enjoy.

Sharon Shuttleworth
Artist and Personal Assistant to Lola the Little Goat
Sharon began painting in 2000, and is largely self-taught. Her preferred medium is acrylic painting exploring water colour and dabbing in oil.
She is a former farmer which is how Lola came into her life. Familiar with the sad fate of many farm orphans, she and her husband Wayne, took in the weakest of the twins , Lola while Sad Gary went to another family for a while. They devoted February 2021 keeping Lola alive, never intending on keeping her but Sharon got very attached and couldn't let her go. As with a lot of people during Covid, Sharon found herself struggling emotionally. She is very indebted to Lola for making 2021 more bearable and much more fun. She couldn't have done it without Wayne who wholeheartedly dove into being a Goat Dad.
Sharon has done over 200 paintings but this is her first foray into publishing a book.
Melissa Bruglemans
Painter/Artist
Melissa was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. The majority of her works primarily focuses on painting, drawing and other mixed media which have been on display both nationally and internationally. Her work is characterized as being thoughtful towards the emotion and the energy of motion of her subject matter.
In the past much of Melissa’s work was focused mostly oil paintings which included the use of bright, contrasting colors, fine details and interesting perspective angles. Her Current Artwork, however, seems to have taken quite a shift as her use of medium has changed from oil pints to liquid Coffee. Yes, you read it correctly…COFFEE. The use of coffee as Melissa’s main “painting” medium has given her some stunning surprises and some interesting new challenges along the way.
When Sharon asked her to illustrate the new book, she jumped at the chance of a new and exciting adventure. Her wonderful and very talented illustrations help bring life to the stories.
She currently lives in Airdrie as a wife and mother of two young, extremely active boys. She runs a small business called of Touch of Paint Advertising where her commissioned works include fine art paintings, wall murals, window paintings and more for both commercial and residential uses.
